![]() 19th July 2010 ~ Bantaskine Update At last the lease has been signed; the work on the walls is almost finished and, most generously, Falkirk Council Community Services has agreed to re-plough the land. As soon as this is done we will be able to mark out the plots and once this is completed our 18 lucky plotholders can get busy! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 15th June 2010 ~ Bantaskine Update At last weeks monthly committee meeting of the FAS, Bantaskine progress was top of the agenda. We are waiting for the satisfactory completion of the wall before signing the lease. As soon as a definite date for completion is known it will be made available on this web site. The main area of concern is the bulge on the East end of the North wall plus other smaller defects in need of attention. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th May 2010 ~ Bantaskine Update Work on the wall is progressing and it is estimated that this will be completed within the next 4 weeks. All going well plot holders can look forward to making a start with the digging in early June. Details for lease signing will be issued very soon. This opens the challenge for fast and late cropping vegetables, what are your growing plans? You can share them on this site. Sweet potato plants, Beauregard Improved Variety for example give a heavy crop within the 3 months of planting out. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Plot Lottery ![]() an exciting moment for the FAS Monday 8th March 2010 Tonight at a meeting in the Christian Centre, 18 plots were allocated at Bantaskine. The next stage, following completion of all work at Bantaskine, will be the signing of missives, payment of rentals and distribution of keys to plot holders.
